There is not a better fun in the world like giving back to those who need it the most. At Tshepang Care Centre in Tembisa - Caterpillar Southern Africa, Caterpillar Africa & Progress Rail employees came through to give support to the centre that takes care of vulnerable children mostly from the informal settlement neighbourhood called Vusimuzi.
The centre restore hope to the hopeless... and does not receive support from the government as yet. One of the beneficiaries who grew up in the centre, has now graduated and secured employment, thanks to the astute leadership of Madam Sarah and Patience, who are selfless, relentless and passionate about making a difference in the community.
United Way South Africa is proud to be associated with the centre and highly appreciates the unwavering caring commitment from Caterpillar. The donated gifts are courtesy of Caterpillar employees. This, as the hands-on leaders from the company mentioned, is the beginning of a fruitful socio-economic partnership. In the words of Tshepang Care Centre - 'You teach a child, you teach the nation.'
