CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MATRIC CLASS OF 2023 FOR ACHIEVING A PASS RATE OF 82.9%
This is up by 2.8% points from 80.1% in 2022.
282 894 learners qualified for bachelor studies. 187 876 passed with a diploma.
The class of 2023 achieved 253 807 distinctions. KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Western Cape, and Limpopo were the main contributors.

- Tetema Secondary achieved 95% pass rate, with 81.4% in Maths
- Nkakabidi Secondary: 95.1%, with 95.1% in Maths
